ITT Corporation purchased American Standard Heat Transfer Division in 1986. ITT Corporation then changed the name to ITT Standard . ITT Standard continues to supply the BCF line of heat exchangers, small off-the-shelf units originally designed by Ross Heater and still being used in industrial applications today as well as a full range of highly engineered custom shell and tube units. Product lines have been expanded to include brazed-plate, plate and frame and air cooled products making ITT Standard truly "the complete heat exchanger company." Additionally, ITT Standard was the first US manufacturer of heat exchangers to obtain the ISO 9001 certification in 1993.
